BIRTH: Date of birth is recorded in MEMOIRS OF ROGER CLAP (Boston, 1844), originally published in Boston, 1731, Appendix by James Blake, Jr, 59 (FHL #929.273 C53d). James Blake (b. 1688) asserted that he was acquainted with the family. He was actually married to a granddaughter of Roger Clapp.
CHR: Bridport par reg, as cited in Donald Lines Jacobus, "Thomas Ford of Dorchester, England, and Dorchester, Mass," TAG, 16(1940):41 (FHL #973 D25aga).
MAR: No mar rec found in original source records. Children were born to Roger and Joan Clapp at Dorchester beginning in 1634. Roger's will, 19 Nov 1690-5 Mar 1690/1, mentions his "wife's Father Ford at Windsor" (Suffolk Co. Probate, #1820, [n.s.] 8:35 [FHL #594175]). This could be no other than Thomas Ford of Windsor. The identification is confirmed, and the mar date is supplied in Blake's Appendix to MEMOIRS OF ROGER CLAP, 55. The Fords were also a Dorchester family in 1633, making it highly likely that the mar occurred in that place.
DEATH: Blake's Appendix to MEMOIRS OF ROGER CLAP, 59, states that Joanna died in Boston in Jun 1695. The date is given as 29 Jun 1695 in Ebenezer Clapp, RECORD OF THE CLAPP FAMILY IN AMERICA (Boston, 1876), 4 (FHL #186110). The death, however, is not recorded in Boston or Dorchester vital recs.
BUR: Blake, MEMOIRS OF ROGER CLAP, 59, states that Joanna was buried near her husband. Roger's grave is located in King's Chapel Cemetery, Boston.

BIRTH: David is identified in the will of his father, Simon Stone of Gt. Gardner Bartlett, SIMON STONE GENEALOGY (Boston, 1926), 21-22 (FHL #1018914 item 7). The will was probated in the Commissary Court of London but is not recorded at Chelmsford.
DEATH: No death/bur or probate rec found. David was taxed in the subsidy of Kirby-le-Soken, 20 Oct 1542 (Lay Subsidy, 108-255, cited in Bartlett, SIMON STONE GENEALOGY, 26) The subsidy roll of 13 Oct 1544 shows that Simon Stone, apparently David's son, succeeded to the estate (Lay Subsidy, 109-261, Ibid, 26, 32-33).

MAR #1: Not recorded in the transcript of Gt. Bromley par reg made in 1903; however, the date and place of mar is included in J. BIRTH: David is identified in the will of his father, Thomas Denne of Barham, 3 May 1552, proved 21 Sep 1552, Archdeaconry Court of Canterbury, reg wills, 28:25 (FHL #188933). He is the 3rd son mentioned in the will. Date and place of birth are approximations.
MAR #1: No reference is found to this wife, but it is likely that David was married prior to his marriage to Margery Parker in 1568. Thomas's will, below, shows that he had nine children of his own. Some were minors, but the son Thomas is not called a minor. It also seems unlikely that Thomas and Margery had nine surviving children between 1568 and 1585.
MAR #2: Littlebourne par reg (FHL #1886153 item 8). The wife is called Margery Parker. David's will, below, shows that she was the mother of several Parker children whose father was Paul Parker. The burial of Paul Parker on 11 Mar 1567/8 is found in Ickham par reg (FHL #1886152 item 6). The will of Margery Denne of Littlebourne, widow of David Denne, 15 Jul 1586, proved 1587, shows that she is the sister of Henry Rigden and Thomas Rigden (Archdeaconry Court of Canterbury, reg wills, 47:32 [FHL #188945]).
BUR: Ibid. Also see the will of David Denne of Littlebourne, 22 Jan 1585, proved 1 Apr 1586, Archdeaconry Court of Canterbury, reg wills, 46:82 (FHL #188944). The will made his brother Michael Denne and Valentine Austen of Adisham overseers. | Denne, David (I13383)

BIRTH: David Stone apparently succeeded to the estate of David Stone at Kirby-le-Soken, Essex, six miles east of Gt. She is also mentioned in the will of her mother Frances Coleman [of Hadley?], n.d., proved 26 Mar 1678, Hampshire Co. Probate, 1:198. Date of birth is an approximation.
MAR: No mar rec found. The will of Deborah Gunn of Milford, "sometime ye wife of Daniel Gun," 2 Dec 1703, proved Jan 1703/4, mentions "my beloved brother John Coalman." An account of the estate by John Coleman of Hatfield, 22 Oct 1703, included in probate recs, suggests that Deborah is from the Coleman family of Hatfield/Hadley (New Haven District Probate, 3:4 [FHL #005295]). The inv of estate of Daniel Gunn of Milford, 25 July 1690, also mentions some estate in Hadley (New Haven District Probate, 2:70 [FHL #005294]).
