2901 BIRTH: DORCHESTER BIRTHS, MARRIAGES AND DEATHS, 21st Report Boston Record Commissioners (Boston, 1890), 2 (FHL #974.46/D1 V2r).
CHR: RECORDS OF THE FIRST CHURCH AT DORCHESTER IN NEW ENGLAND (Boston, 1891), 152 (FHL #974.461 K2r). Given name is obliterated on original rec, but it could be no other than Deliverance, who was born 3 days before.
MAR #1: "Windsor Births, Marriages, Deaths, 1637-1850," Barbour Collection (typescript, 1929; Conn. State Library, Hartford), 247 (FHL #002983). The entry states that the mar occurred at Dorchester, Mass. The wife is called Deliverance "Haynes" on mar entry. However, a manuscript genealogy of the Rockwell family, dated 1731, identifies her as "Haws." No Deliverance Haynes has been found, and Deliverance Hawes was the right age and lived in Dorchester where the mar occurred. See D. William Patterson, "The Rockwell Family," NYGBR, 2(1871):99-100 (FHL #974.7 B2n).
MAR #2: "Windsor Births, Marriages, Deaths," Barbour Collection, 246. Husband is called "Robard Warrennak" on mar entry. He is called "Robert Warner" on death rec of Deliverance, below. 1st husband, John Rockwell, died at Windsor 3 Sep 1673 ("Windsor Births, Marriages, Deaths," Barbour Collection, 247).
MAR #3: No mar rec found. Deliverance Bissell is called "formerly wife of Robert Warner" on death rec, below. Adm of estate of Deliverance Bissell of Middletown, 5 Aug 1718, was granted to her son Capt. Joseph Rockwell. The inv of estate, 6 Oct 1718, calls her "Widow of Nathaniel Bissell. "See abstracts from Hartford District Probate in Charles W. Manwaring, ed, DIGEST OF THE EARLY CONNECTICUT PROBATE RECORDS, 3 vols. (Hartford, 1904-1906), 2:358 (FHL #974.6 P2m). Second husband, Robert Warner, died at Middletown, 11 Apr 1690 ("Middletown Births, Marriages, Deaths, 1651-1854," Barbour Collection [typescript, 1923; Conn. State Library, Hartford], 476 [FHL #002974]).
DEATH: "Middletown Births, Marriages, Deaths," Barbour Collection, 50. Also see the adm and inv of estate, above.

2919 BIRTH: DORCHESTER BIRTHS, MARRIAGES AND DEATHS, 21st Report Boston Record Commissioners (Boston, 1890), 4 (FHL #974.46/D1 V2r). The date given in this birth entry is 27 Jul 1642. However, the year of birth is unlikely, as Hannah was baptized at Dorchester on 26 Apr 1640. Furthermore, Hannah's brother John was baptized on 31 Jul 1642. Hannah's death rec, below, indicates she was in her 91st year on 4 Aug 1729. Hence, she was probably born in 1639.
CHR: RECORDS OF THE FIRST CHURCH AT DORCHESTER IN NEW ENGLAND (Boston, 1891), 171 (FHL #974.46 K2r). A note by this entry states she was 1st married to Mr. Lion and 2nd to Mr. William Blake.

MAR: No mar rec found. Samuel married Hannah, dau of Gov. Robert Treat, according to Horace E. Mather, LINEAGE OF REV. RICHARD MATHER (Hartford, 1890), 73-74 (FHL #186133 item 2). Although no proof has been found, it is noted that Robert Treat bequeathed Samuel Mather one share of his land in the Oweantinoque Purchase in his will, dated 5 Jan 1707. The same bequest was made to Samuel Andrew, another son-in-law. The will also mentions a dau Hannah but does not give her surname. Verbatim copy of the will is found in John Harvey Treat, THE TREAT FAMILY (Salem, MA, 1893), 162-63 (FHL #1036492 item 6). The same work also states that Samuel Mather married Hannah Treat (Ibid, 183). Samuel and Hannah Mather of Windsor deeded 300 acres of land in Milford to Lt. Joseph Treat on 26 Sep 1705. The land had been received from Robert Treat (Milford, Conn. Deeds, 3:338 [FHL #004918]).
