7401 CHR: Fressingfield par reg (FHL #097127). The entry clearly shows the child as "Joseph"; however, he is called Joshua in the will of his brother, Cornelius Fisher of East Bergholt, Suffolk, 23 May 1638, proved 9 Dec 1641, P.C.C., Evelyn, 154 (FHL #092151). And he is called Joshua Fisher of Harleston [in par of Redenhall, Norfolk] in the will of another brother, John Fisher of Syleham, 28 Mar 1636, proved 30 Oct 1636, Consistory Court of Norwich, reg wills, 129:277 (FHL #166873).

MAR: No mar rec found. Rev. Matthias Candler stated that a sister of [Anthony] Fisher married George Bugge of Creeting (Joseph L. Chester, ed, "Candler's Suffolk & Essex Pedigrees," ca 1655, 2 vols. [transcript, 1868-70; Norman Collection, Salford, Eng], 2:32 [FHL #Q942.6 D2c]). Matthias Candler was a Puritan minister living in England and was a relative of the Fishers. Anthony is a proved son of William Fisher. Two daughters - Johanna and Jane - are mentioned in the will of William Fisher of St. James Elmham, 14 Jun 1591, proved 9 Aug 1591, Consistory Court of Norwich, reg wills, 88:152 (FHL #094915). Jane married Francis Wolnaugh. No mar rec has been found for Johanna. It was apparently Johanna who married George Bugge of Creeting, Suffolk. The will of George Bugge, 11 Jun 1625, proved 8 Sep 1638, lists six sons and a dau, but no wife is mentioned (Marion E. Allen and Nesta R. Evans, WILLS FROM THE ARCHDEACONRY OF SUFFOLK, 2 vols. [Boston, 1986], 2:158-59 [FHL #942.64 P2w]). This will was transcribed from the original will. The registered copy is only partially extant (Archdeaconry Court of Suffolk, 63:97 [FHL #096964]). The will of William Fisher, above, suggests Johanna was dead in 1591, her legacy being divided to her 3 sons and 1 daughter (not named).
DEATH: No death/bur rec found. The will of William Fisher, above, suggests that his dau Johanna was deceased by 14 Jun 1591.
