John and Cornelius are proved sons of Anthony Fisher of Syleham.

A mar lic for Matthew Browne of Hythe and Ann Mantle, of Hythe, spinster, 23 Jun 1681 is found in Cowper, CANTERBURY MARRIAGE LICENCES, 4:85. Children of John Chittenden and his wife Anne were baptized at Ruckinge, 1695-1698.

However, the baptism of Moses Morris at Ruckinge on 28 Aug 1709 shows that the child was the son of Moses "Maurice" and Mary, "his then wife but now the wife of John Chittenden."
