- CHR: "Assington Parish Registers, 1598-1812" (transcript, n.d.), 15 (FHL #993216). Sarah is also mentioned in the will of her [step]father, John Wyatt of Ipswich, 23 Nov 1665, proved 15 Jan 1665/6 (THE PROBATE RECORDS OF ESSEX COUNTY, 3 vols. [Salem, MA, 1916-20], 2:21-24 [FHL #974.45 P2p]).
MAR #1: No mar rec found. Estate recs of Luke Heard of Ipswich show that his widow Sarah received land in Assington from her [step]father Wyatt (THE PROBATE RECORDS OF ESSEX COUNTY, 1:81-81). John Wyatt married Mary, widow of Edward Riddlesdale, at Assington, 27 June 1632.
MAR #2: No mar rec found. See the pre-nuptial agreement of Joseph Bixby of Ipswich with Sarah, widow of Luke Heard, 15 Dec 1647, included with Luke Heard estate recs, above.
DEATH: VITAL RECORDS OF BOXFORD (Topsfield, MA, 1905), 225 (FHL #823868 item 2). Although the day and month of death are given, the year of death is incomplete. The year was interpreted by the editors as between 1703 and 1705. The will of Sarah's husband, Joseph Bixby, bound 3 of their sons to provide maintenance to him and his wife for life. Although Joseph died in 1700, the will was not probated until 6 Mar 1703/4, suggesting that Sarah had now died. Therefore, it is believed that Sarah died on 3 Jun 1703.
