- BIRTH: No birth/chr rec found. Bovingdon registers are lost before 1674 (BTs from 1604). Elizabeth is identified in the notice of the settlement of estate of her father, Richard Gould of Bovingdon, 25 May 1597, Archdeaconry Court of Huntingdon (Hitchin Div), Act Book, 2:62 (FHL #1042294). A translation of this Latin document is published in Read H. Putnam, "Priscilla, Wife of John Putnam," NEHGR, 119(1965):175 (FHL #974 B2ne). Date/place of birth are approximations.
MAR: No mar rec found, but she is almost certainly the Priscilla who married John Putnam of Aston Abbots, Bucks, 14 miles from Bovingdon. Her son, John Putnam, Jr, is called "cousin" [nephew] by Zaccheus Gould, Priscilla's brother, on 20 Nov 1658 (RECORDS AND FILES OF THE QUARTERLY COURTS OF ESSEX COUNTY, 9 vols. [Salem, MA, 1911-75], 2:126 [FHL #974.45/P2e]).
DEATH: No death rec found. Priscilla Gould is mentioned as late as 21 Feb 1648/9 in Essex Co. Court recs (RECORDS AND FILES OF THE QUARTERLY COURTS OF ESSEX COUNTY, 1:157). The family lived in Salem, where Priscilla probably died. Her husband died in Salem in 1662.
