  Notes	BIRTH: George F. Sanborn, Jr, and Melinde Lutz Sanborn, eds, VITAL RECORDS OF HAMPTON, 2 vols. (Boston, 1992-98), 1:31 (FHL #974.26/H3 V2s). MAR: No mar rec found. Priscilla, wife of Moses Sanborn of Kingston, sold the dower lands from her late husband, Edmund James of Kensington, to her dau Mary James, 2 Jan 1754 (New Hampshire Province Deeds, 52:537 [FHL #015434]). Priscilla is identified as a dau of John Sherburne of Portsmouth in a deed from the heirs of John Sherburne to Nathaniel Sherburne, 19 Mar 1739/40 (Ibid, 24:422 [FHL #015420]). Hence, Edmund James married Priscilla Sherburne, who married 2nd Moses Sanborn. DEATH: Date of death is from gravestone inscription, below. Edmund's will shows that he was living in Hampton Falls shortly before his death. See the will of Edmund James of Hampton Falls, 10 Dec 1735, proved 20 Feb 1735/6 (PROBATE RECORDS OF THE PROVINCE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE, 9 vols., repr of New Hampshire State Papers Series, vols. 31-39 [Bowie, MD, 1989-90], 2:555-56 [FHL #974.2 P2p]). Edmund apparently lived in that part of Hampton Falls which was set off as Kensington in 1737, shortly after Edmund's death.
