The authenticity of this information in unknown, but Sanborn presumably acquired it from church or family recs. Hampton Falls church records confirm that Richard and wife Elizabeth were members in 1724 ("The Church Records of Hampton Falls, beginning January 2d 1712" [typescript, n.d.], 99 [FHL #015560 item 4]).
MAR #2: No mar rec found. A wife Judith is mentioned in Richard's will, below. The estate records of Jonathan Prescott of Kensington confirm that his widow Judith was the wife of Richard Sanborn by 25 Jul 1753 (PROBATE RECORDS OF THE PROVINCE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE, 9 vols., repr of New Hampshire State Papers Series, vols. 31-39 [Bowie, MD, 1989-90], 3:272-75 [FHL #974.2 P2p]). Jonathan Prescott married Judith Gove at Hampton Falls, 3 Apr 1721 (Ruth L. Nichipor, ed, VITAL STATISTICS FROM THE TOWN RECORDS OF HAMPTON FALLS [Hampton Falls, NH, 1976], 54 [FHL #974.26/H2 V2n]).
