- BIRTH: No birth rec found. Early Portsmouth recs are lost. Thomas is identified in the will of his father, John Sherburne of Portsmouth, 17 Dec 1723, proved 16 Feb 1730/1 (PROBATE RECORDS OF THE PROVINCE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE, 9 vols., repr of New Hampshire State Papers Series, vols.31-39 [Bowie, MD, 1989-90], 2:191-93 [FHL #974.2 P2p]). Thomas deposed in 1710 he was about 21 years old.
