- BIRTH: No birth rec found, and no proof that Samuel is a son of Richard and Ann Currier. However, his early residence in Salisbury, the absence of other Currier families in the area, and the names Richard and Ann among Samuel's children strongly suggest he belongs to this family. His gravestone inscription, below, gives him the age of 77 in 1712/3. This may be slightly exaggerated or mistranscribed.
MAR: No mar rec found. Samuel's wife is called Mary "Hardy" on the birth records of their children, 1669-85 (VITAL RECORDS OF HAVERHILL, 2 vols. [Topsfield, MA, 1910-11], 1:81-84 [FHL #974.45/H1 V29h]).
