- BIRTH: "Births at Amesbury" in vital recs of Old Norfolk Co., Mass., 1670-1747 (FHL #877468). Birth is not recorded in published vital records of Amesbury, an apparent oversight. Like his brothers, Thomas seems to have dropped Watson from his surname.
MAR #1: No mar rec found. Thomas probably married Mary Colby shortly before 3 Sep 1696, when they receipted Thomas Colby for their share of the estate of Mary's father John Colby (Essex Co. Probate, [o.s.] 313:675 [FHL #875128]).
MAR #2: VITAL RECORDS OF AMESBURY (Topsfield, MA, 1913), 303 (FHL #974.45/A1 V2a). By some published accounts this mar is attibuted to Thomas's son Thomas, but the will of Thomas Challis, below, makes it clear that he was the husband of both.
