- BIRTH: Date and place of birth are approximations. Joan married at Dartmouth and had siblings baptized there. Joan is identified in the will of her father, Clement Palmer of Hardnes in the parish of Townstall, 20 Dec 1656, proved 20 Apr 1659, P.C.C., 221 Pell (FHL #092256).

MAR #2: No mar rec found. Joane Crafts of Kittery gave her house and land to son Joseph Deering of Kittery, 23 Jun 1703 (YORK DEEDS, 18 vols. [Portland, ME, 1887-1910], 7:128 [FHL #974.195 R2m]). Later this property was disputed. Six depositions were taken on 20 Jan 1727/8. The deposition of Ebenezer More and George Bray indicate Joane was the widow of William Crafts (Ibid, 12:229). She was married before 1 Oct 1695, when she was licensed to keep a public house as Joane Crafts (PROVINCE AND COURT RECORDS OF MAINE, 6 vols. [Portland, ME, 1928-75], 4:50-51 [FHL #974.1 P2p]).
DEATH: No death or probate rec found. See the deposition of Robert Mitchell, 20 Jan 1727/8, where he testified that Joane died about 14 yrs ago (YORK DEEDS, 12:229).
