- BIRTH: Jonathan is identified as a son of Ebenezer in Charles Edward Banks, HISTORY OF MARTHA'S VINEYARD, 3 vols. (Boston, 1911-25; repr Edgartown, MA, 1966), 3:424 (FHL #974.494 H2b). No evidence has been found in original source records.
NOTE: Banks gives Jonathan a wife Mary Rogers. However, this mar occurred in 1763, when Jonathan was in his fifties. More evidence of this relationship is desired. Banks indicates the family may have removed to Long Island.
