- MAR: No mar rec found. The will of Jane Barlow, 6 Aug 1693, proved 4 Oct 1693, shows that she is the mother of Anthony Bessie's children and some of George Barlow's children (Barnstable Co. Probate, 1:86 [FHL #904598]). Compare with the will of George Barlow, below. The mar occurred before 4 Mar 1661/2, when several of Barlow's Bessie stepchildren were punished by the court for cruelty toward their stepfather (Nathaniel B. Shurtleff and David Pulsifer, eds, RECORDS OF THE COLONY OF NEW PLYMOUTH, 12 vols. [Boston 1855-61], 4:10 [FHL #974.4 N2n]).
