- BIRTH: No birth rec found. Samuel is identified in the will of his father, Thomas Look of Tisbury, 4 Dec 1725, proved 1st Tuesday Jan 1725/6, Dukes Co. Probate, 2:3-5 (FHL #911747). Birth date is from Charles Edward Banks, VITAL RECORDS OF MARTHA'S VINEYARD, 3 vols. (Boston, 1911-25; repr Edgartown, MA, 1966), 3:238 (FHL #974.494 H2b). Birth is not found in Nantucket vital recs, however.
MAR: "Barnstable, Mass. Vital Records", MAYFLOWER DESCENDANT, 14(1912):225 (FHL #974.4 D25md). The mar is also recorded in VITAL RECORDS OF TISBURY (Boston, 1910), 150 (FHL #974.494/T1 V28v). Wife's maiden is name not found in the Tisbury entry.
DEATH: Banks, HISTORY OF MARTHA'S VINEYARD, 3:238. Death is not confirmed by original source records, but see the will of Samuel Look of Tisbury, 13 Aug 1752, proved 17 Mar 1772, Dukes Co. Probate, 5:52-54 (FHL #911748).
