- BIRTH: No birth rec found. Patience is identified in the will of her father, Thomas Look of Tisbury, 4 Dec 1725, proved 1st Tuesday in Jan 1725/6, Dukes Co. Probate, 2:3-5 (FHL #911747). Year of birth is calculated from age 80 yrs on death rec, below. Thomas Look removed from Nantucket to Tisbury abt 1686.
MAR: Robert M. Sherman and Ruth Wilder Sherman, comps, VITAL RECORDS OF YARMOUTH, 2 vols. (Warwick, RI, 1975), 1:20 (FHL #974.492/Y1 V2s). Wife was "of Martha's Vineyard. The mar is also recorded in VITAL RECORDS OF TISBURY (Boston, 1910), 150 (FHL #974.494/T1 V28v). However, the husband is called "Benjamin" rather than Jonathan. This is not correct, as it was Jonathan Lewis of Barnstable and his wife Patience who receipted for their share of the Thomas Look estate, 29 Dec 1725, Dukes Co. Probate, 2:11-12 (FHL #911747).
