- BIRTH: WATERTOWN RECORDS, 8 vols. (Watertown, MA, 1894-1939), 1:3:14 (FHL #974.44/W5 V28w).
MAR: Ibid, 1:3:41. The wife is called Ruth "Shattuck," but she is apparently the Ruth Whitney who married John Shattuck, 20 Jun 1664. John was drowned passing over Charlestown ferry, 14 Sep 1675 (WATERTOWN RECORDS, 1:3:26,40).
DEATH: VITAL RECORDS OF GROTON, 2 vols. (Salem, MA, 1926-27), 2:240 (FHL #873746). Year of death is not complete, but the entry states Enos was abt 74 yrs old. Given his known birth date, he probably died in 1722/3. Other published accounts state he died on 28 Sep 1744 at about 95 yrs of age. NOTE: Enos is usually referred to as Enosh, a form of Enos. His name is often mistaken for Enoch, which is incorrect.
