- BIRTH: No birth/chr rec found. William is identified in the will of his father, Henry Chamberlin of Hull, 8 Dec 1673, proved 29 Jul 1674, Suffolk Co. Probate, #698, (o.s.) 6:54 (FHL #584128). Date and place of birth are approximations.
DEATH: Death date is given in his estate inv. See the adm of estate of William Chamberlin of Hull, 10 Dec 1687, Suffolk Co. Probate, #1027, (o.s.) 12:251-52 (FHL #584130), inv presented Jan 1678 (Ibid, 9:334 [FHL #584129]), adm bond 14 Jan 1678 (Ibid, [n.s.] 1:553 [FHL #594359]).
NOTE: it is frequently published that William had two wives, both of whose names are unknown. See, for instance, THE CHAMBERLAIN ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA, Report of 1906 and 1907 (New York, 1908), 39 (FHL #908708). Nevertheless, no evidence has been found to indicate William had two wives.
