- BIRTH: No birth/chr rec found. Avis is identified in the will of her father, John Foote of Royston, Cambs, n.d., proved 18 Jul 1558, P.C.C., 34 Noodles (FHL #091931). Date of birth is an approximation. She is called "Alice" in the will of her brother, below, and on her mar rec. Avis/Alice was very likely born in Royston, where her father died in 1558, and where her brother John stated that he was born in his will.
MAR: She is called "Alice Sawle" in the will of her brother, John Foote of London, 17 Nov 1616, proved 4 Dec 1616, P.C.C., 127 Cope (FHL #092067). Based on this unusal name, it appears likely that she is the Alice "Fote" who married William Solye at Stourmouth, Kent, 23 Oct 1575 (Stourmouth par reg [FHL #1836140 item 14]).
DEATH: No death/bur rec found. Alice was living on the date of her brother John Foote's will, above.
