- BIRTH: VITAL RECORDS OF ROXBURY, 2 vols. (Salem, MA, 1925-26), 1:97 (FHL #974.46/R2 V2r). The entry calls this a baptism, but Samuel was baptized with his brothers John and Joseph on 11 Oct 1649, in their mother's right after her admission to the Roxbury church about 1648. Hence, it is believed that this was actually Samuel's birth date.

MAR #1: Northampton Vital Records, 1:97 (FHL #186161). Hannah died there, 11 Sep 1680 (Ibid, 1:138).
MAR #2: Ibid, 1:101. Elizabeth died there 26 Aug 1682 (Ibid, 1:138).
MAR #3: No mar rec found. The widow of Samuel Davis of Northampton is called Mary in his estate distribution, [1692], Hampshire Co. Probate, 3:2 (FHL #879184). However, an account of the estate made by the widow on 3 Dec 1702 refers to her as Hannah Pritchard (Ibid, 3:96). The wife was apparently Hannah, not Mary, as Hannah Davis and Nathaniel Pritchard were married at Springfield, 9 Apr 1691 (Springfield Vital Records, 1:18 [FHL #185414]).

NOTE: Samuel was dismissed from the Roxbury 1st Church to Northampton, 23 Nov 1673 (ROXBURY LAND AND CHURCH RECORDS, 91).
