- BIRTH: David is identified in the will of his father, Thomas Denne of Barham, 3 May 1552, proved 21 Sep 1552, Archdeaconry Court of Canterbury, reg wills, 28:25 (FHL #188933). He is the 3rd son mentioned in the will. Date and place of birth are approximations.
MAR #1: No reference is found to this wife, but it is likely that David was married prior to his marriage to Margery Parker in 1568. Thomas's will, below, shows that he had nine children of his own. Some were minors, but the son Thomas is not called a minor. It also seems unlikely that Thomas and Margery had nine surviving children between 1568 and 1585.
MAR #2: Littlebourne par reg (FHL #1886153 item 8). The wife is called Margery Parker. David's will, below, shows that she was the mother of several Parker children whose father was Paul Parker. The burial of Paul Parker on 11 Mar 1567/8 is found in Ickham par reg (FHL #1886152 item 6). The will of Margery Denne of Littlebourne, widow of David Denne, 15 Jul 1586, proved 1587, shows that she is the sister of Henry Rigden and Thomas Rigden (Archdeaconry Court of Canterbury, reg wills, 47:32 [FHL #188945]).
