- BIRTH: Thomas is identified in the (Latin) will of his uncle, Thomas Denne of Kingston, 21 [---] 1490, proved Apr 1491, Consistory Court of Canterbury, reg wills, 3:297 (FHL #188834). In this will, Thomas refers to the sons of his brother Michael named Thomas Denne and Thomas Denne, Jr. Thomas is also called son and heir of Michael Denne of Denne [parish of Kingston] in the 1619 Visitation of Kent (John Philipot, THE VISITATION OF KENT TAKEN IN THE YEARS 1619-1621 [London, 1898], Publications of the Harleian Society, 42:99-101 [FHL #942 B4h]). Thomas is called eldest son of Michael Denne of Denne Hill in the parish of Kingston in the 1592 visitation of Kent (W. Bruce Bannerman, ed, THE VISITATIONS OF KENT TAKEN IN THE YEARS 1574 AND 1592 [London, 1924], Publications of the Harleian Society, 75[1924]:95 [FHL #942 B4h]). Thomas's own will, below, states that he wished to be buried "next to the stone of John Denne my grandfather." Date and place of birth are approximations.
MAR: Thomas's will, below, identifies his wife "Ellys" [Alice]. She is called Alice Eshehurst in the 1619 Visitation of Kent, above.
