- BIRTH: Thomas is identified as the son and heir of William de Dene in his father's inquisition post morten, dated 21 May 15 Edward III [1341] abstracted in CALENDAR OF INQUISITIONS POST MORTEM...EDWARD III, 8(London, 1913):228 (University of Utah Library). The document shows that Thomas was 21 years old at the feast of St. Stephen, 14 Edward III [1319].
MAR: Martha, "late the wife of Thomas de Deen, knight," made a writ of diem clausit extremum on 7 Jul 23 Edward III [1349]. See CALENDAR OF INQUISITIONS POST MORTEM...EDWARD III, 9(London, 1916):159. Thomas had four daughters, aged 1-5 years, listed in his own i.p.m., below.
