John is identified as "eldest son" in the will of his father, Richard Videon of Molash, 31 May 1591, proved 28 Mar 1593, Archdeaconry Court of Canterbury, reg wills, 50:96 (FHL #188948). He was, therefore, older than his brother John who was baptized in 1562/3 and is mentioned in his father's will.
