"The will of Richard Pattenden of Bethersden, 22 Sep 1557-15 Nov 1557, makes bequests to all of Amy's children, but he does not state his relationship to them (Archdeaconry Court of Canterbury, reg wills, 30:315 [FHL #188934]). Richard may be a brother or father of Amy.
