- BIRTH: Thomas Steed of Egerton, age 23, is called the son of James Steede of Otterden, on mar lic, 24 Sep 1625, cited below. Several children of James Steed were baptized at Egerton, but many of the Egerton BTs are missing for the period, and Egerton par regs are lost before 1684.
MAR: Harrietsham par reg (FHL #1473729). The mar is also recorded in Egerton BTs (FHL #1736695 item 5). See mar lic, 24 Sep 1625, Canterbury Diocesan Register of General Licences, 10:210 (FHL #1836331 item 3). License was issued to marry at Harrietsham. Thomas was aged 23 years old, bachelor of Egerton; Mary was aged about 20, virgin of Egerton.
DEATH: See the will of Thomas Steed of Egerton, 29 May 1648, proved 25 Apr 1649, P.C.C., 44 Fairfax (FHL #092171). No par regs or BTs have survived for Egerton, 1640/1-1661/2.
