He is also identified as Jacob in the wills of his parents. Jacob is listed as the 5th son in the 1663 Visitation of Kent, published in Joseph Jackson Howard and Robert Hovenden, eds, SOME PEDIGREES FROM THE VISITATION OF KENT, 1663-1668 (London, 1887), 2-3 (FHL #942.23 D2ho).
