Notes |
- CHR: Hothfield par reg (FHL #1473758 item 4). The name is "James" in this entry. However, the name is spelled "Jacob" in Hothfield ATs (FHL #1751915 item 6). He is also identified as Jacob in the wills of his parents. Jacob is listed as the 5th son in the 1663 Visitation of Kent, published in Joseph Jackson Howard and Robert Hovenden, eds, SOME PEDIGREES FROM THE VISITATION OF KENT, 1663-1668 (London, 1887), 2-3 (FHL #942.23 D2ho).
MAR: No mar rec found. See mar lic, 27 Nov 1600, Canterbury Diocesan Register of General Licences, 1596-1603, 5:96 (FHL #1836330 item 3). Jacob Turner of Hothfield, clothier, and Margaret Asten of Wingham. Place of mar is not stated. The mar is not recorded at Hothfield. They were probably married at Wingham, where the records of this year are missing.
BUR: Egerton BTs (FHL #1736695 item 5). Also see the will of Jacob Turner of Egerton, 4 Nov 1624, proved 15 Nov 1624, Consistory Court of Canterbury, reg wills, 46:277 (FHL #188859).
OCC: Clothier
