- BIRTH: William is called "youngest son" in the will of his father, Jacob Turner of Egerton, 4 Nov 1624, proved 15 Nov 1624, Consistory Court of Canterbury, reg wills, 46:277 (FHL #188859). He is also identified in the will of her mother, Margaret Turner of Egerton, 16 Jun 1628, proved 13 Sep 1628, Consistory Court of Canterbury, reg wills, 48:239 (FHL #188860). Year of birth is calculated from age 24 on mar lic, below. This birth year is a close match with the age of 69 at death assigned to him in the 1663 Visitation of Kent, published in Joseph Jackson Howard and Robert Hovenden, eds, SOME PEDIGREES FROM THE VISITATION OF KENT, 1663-1668 (London, 1887), 2-3 (FHL #942.23 D2ho). Egerton BTs and par regs are missing for this period.
