- BIRTH: Alexander is identified in the will of his father, John Weston of Crundale, 12 Mar 1563 [1562/3], proved 22 Apr 1563, Archdeaconry Court of Canterbury, reg wills, 37:19 (FHL #188938). The will indicates Alexander was under 21 years old in 1563; hence he was born after 1542. He married in 1569. It seems likely, therefore, that he was born about 1544, probably in Crundale.
MAR: No mar rec found. Alexander Weston of Crundale and Ann Mapesden of Maidstone were licensed to marry on 7 Feb 1568/9. See abstract of license in Joseph Meadows Cowper, ed, CANTERBURY MARRIAGE LICENCES, 6 vols. (Canterbury 1892-1906), 1:445 (FHL #942.23 V25c). The marriage is not recorded in Crundale or Maidstone.
