- BIRTH: No birth/chr rec found. John is identified in the will of his father, Thomas Norrington of Ashford, 17 Sep 1666, proved 11 Feb 1666/7, Archdeaconry Court of Canterbury, reg wills, 72:262 (FHL #188973). The will indicates John was under age 22 in 1666. Date of birth is estimated from probable age at marriage.
MAR #1: John's first wife is uncertain. She might have been the Anne, wife of John Norrington, who was buried at Ashford 9 Jun 1686, but this is not certain, as there were other John Norrington's in the area. A John Norrington and Elizabeth Norrington were married at Ashford on 5 Sept 1669 (Ashford BTs [FHL #1736522 item 3]).
MAR #2: Ashford BTs (FHL #1736522 item 3). The language of John's will, below, suggests that Mary was probably a widow, when they married.
