- CHR: She is probably the Anne Cowland chr at Kennington, 6 Jan 1678/9, as dau of "Thomas" and Thomasin Cowland. It is believed that Thomas is a clerical error for Samuel, who had recently married Thomasine Paine.There is no further record of Thomas and Thomasine Cowland in Kennington. Samuel had a brother Thomas who married Susannah Watkins in 1676. However, Ann is identified in the will of her mother, Thomasine Cowland of Eastwell, 2 Dec 1728, proved 11 Feb 1729, Archdeaconry Court of Canterbury, reg wills, 87:34 (FHL #188988).
