- BIRTH: VITAL RECORDS OF WEYMOUTH, 2 vols. (Boston (1910), 1:123 (FHL #974.47/W1 V2n). She is called "Mathew" [sic] in this rec. Other published sources call her Martha. See George W. Chamberlain, GENEALOGIES OF THE EARLY FAMILIES OF WEYMOUTH (Weymouth, MA, 1923; repr Baltimore, 1984), 256 (FHL #974.47/W1 D2c). Also see James Savage, GENEALOGICAL DICTIONARY OF THE FIRST SETTLERS OF NEW ENGLAND, 4 vols. (Boston, 1860-62; repr Baltimore, 1965), 2:367 (FHL #974 D2s). Martha is believed to be the correct name. A Martha Hart married in Weymouth to Edward Neale, 24 Jan 1662, below. Neale is shown to be a son-in-law of Edmund Hart by the latter's estate recs, Hampshire Co. Probate, 1:148 (FHL #879184). Westfield Vital Records, A:7, show that Edward Neale's wife was Martha (FHL #185474).

DEATH: No death rec found. Martha was living in Westfield in 1682 when a child was born to her (Westfield Vital Records, A:7 [FHL #185474]).
