MAR: Intentions of mar, 19 Jun 1741, in Springfield Vital Records, Marriages, 2:42 (FHL #185416). Actual mar rec not found. Mar date and place of mar are given in Thomas B. Warren, "Springfield Families" (typescript, 1935; Conn. Valley Historical Museum, Springfield, Mass.), 212 (FHL #014787). Warren cites Longmeadow church recs, although a search of these recs failed to locate the mar entry. Wife is called Patience "Mackranny" on mar rec. Warren identifies her as the widow of Timothy Mackranny and dau of John Stockwell. This is probable, as Timothy Mackranny and Patience Stockwell were married on 11 Apr 1734 (Springfield Vital Records, Marriages, 2:17 [FHL #185416]). Timothy died in Jun 1740, leaving Patience a widow (Springfield Vital Records, Deaths, 2:11 [FHL #185417]).
DEATH: Death rec not found in vital or church recs. See "Record of Families" (unpublished ms, n.d.; Longmeadow Town Clerk's Office), 96 (FHL #185400). Longmeadow was part of Springfield until set off in 1783.
