- BIRTH: No birth rec found. Sarah is identified in the estate settlement of her sister Elizabeth White, below. Elizabeth White is identified in the will of her father, Thomas Bunce of Hartford, n.d., proved 6 Sep 1683, Hartford District Probate, abstracted in Charles W. Manwaring, ed, DIGEST OF THE EARLY CONNECTICUT PROBATE RECORDS, 3 vols. (Hartford, 1904-1906), 1:283-84 (FHL #974.6 P2m). Date and place of birth are approximations based on family history and chronology.
MAR #1: No mar rec found. She is called "Sarah White decd" with children, John White, Sarah White, Elizabeth Morton and William Worthington in the estate distribution of her sister Elizabeth White of Hartford, 4 Mar 1717/8, Hartford District Probate, abstracted in Manwaring, DIGEST, 2:449-50. Distribution of the estate of John White of Hadley, Mass., 27 Mar 1666, gives to widow Sarah White and minor children, John and Sarah (Hampshire Co. Probate, 1:73 [FHL #879184]).
MAR #2: No mar rec found. On 28 Mar 1671 Nicholas Worthington was possessed of John White's estate by virtue of his mar to his widow Sarah. He bound over White's lands and house in Hartford as security. On 30 Sep 1684 the estate of Nicholas Worthington, deceased, was divided, first setting off to John and Sarah White, then to his own children, William, Jonathan, John, and Elizabeth Worthington (Hampshire Co. Probate, 1:127, 239 [FHL #879184]). It is clear that Sarah married (1) John White and (2) Nicholas Worthington.
