BUR: Personal visit to Springfield Cemetery in 2002 by Clifford L. Stott. Grave was found in Pine Street section. Epitaph: "Here Rests the Body of Luke Hitchcock, Esq. who after he had servd God and His Generation in several Publick offices Deceasd Janry 24th 1727 in the 72nd year of his Age."
