MAR #2: VITAL RECORDS OF BRIMFIELD (Boston, 1931), 200 (FHL #974.426/B1 V29v). Wife is called Mary "Morgan" on mar rec. Also see intentions of mar at Springfield, 13 Mar 1761, where she is called "of Brimfield" (Springfield Vital Records, 2:120 [FHL #185416]). Mary was apparently the widow of Benjamin Morgan, of Brimfield, who died there, 4 Feb 1756 (VITAL RECORDS OF BRIMFIELD, 309). Benjamin Morgan and Mary Graves were married in Springfield, 1 Jan 1718/9 (Springfield Vital Records, 1:125). On 18 Mar 1779, Mary Hitchcock of Springfield, Bezaleel Sherman, and Abigail Sherman of Brimfield sold land in Brimfield to David Morgan, which originally belonged to Ebenezer Graves Jr. Mary and Abigail are children of Ebenezer Graves of Springfield and sisters of Ebenezer Graves, Jr. Abigail Graves and "Bazaliel" Sherman were married at Brimfield, 4 Feb 1731/4 (VITAL RECORDS OF BRIMFIELD, 194). Hence Mary, dau of Ebenezer Graves, married (1) Benjamin Morgan, (2) Ebenezer Hitchcock. DEATH: Springfield Vital Records, Deaths, 2:68 (FHL #185417).
