- BIRTH: Farmington 1st Congregational Church recs, 1:48 (FHL #004241). Entry indicates Benjamin was about 15 yrs old in Mar 1657. At the time of his birth the family resided in Hartford. For family history and chronology see Sylvester Judd, THOMAS JUDD AND HIS DESCENDANTS (Northampton, MA, 1856), 9-11 (FHL #496862 item 7). MAR: No mar rec found. Widow Mary Judd was granted adm of Benjamin's estate, 6 Nov 1689, below. The inv of estate of William Lewis of Farmington, 28 Aug 1690, identifies a dau Mary Judd. See abstract of will and related documents from Hartford District Probate in Charles W. Manwaring, ed, DIGEST OF THE EARLY CONNECTICUT PROBATE RECORDS, 3 vols. (Hartford, 1904-1906), 1:480-81 (FHL #974.6 P2m). All other wives of Judd men are otherwise accounted for. Also note that William Lewis was one of the administrators of Benjamin Judd's estate, below.
