- BIRTH: Farmington 1st Congregational Church recs, 1:48 (FHL #004241). Entry indicates Ruth was about 11 yrs old in Feb 1657. The family resided in Farmington at this time. For family history and chronology, see Sylvester Judd, THOMAS JUDD AND HIS DESCENDANTS (Northampton, MA, 1856), 9-11 (FHL #496862 item 7). CHR: "Hartford Births, Marriages, Deaths, 1635-1855," Barbour Collection (typescript, 1928; Conn. State Library, Hartford), 179 (FHL #002971). The Congregational Church of Farmington was not organized until 1652, so children were taken to Hartford for baptism. Chr rec indicates Ruth was "of Farmington."
MAR: No mar rec found. Deed from John and Ruth Steele to their son John, 24 Dec 1717, states that Ruth was dau of Thomas Judd, Sr, of Farmington and Northampton, deceased (Farmington Deeds, 3:365 [FHL #004216]).
DEATH: No death rec found. Ruth was living on 24 Dec 1717 when she made deed, above.
