- BIRTH: No birth rec found. Birth year is calculated from age 5 1/2 on chr rec, below. Place of birth is unclear, as it is uncertain where the family was residing in 1642. Matthew Woodruff was in the Conn. Colony by 1 Jun 1643 when he was a defendant in a lawsuit, but town of residence is not stated (J. H. Trumbull and Charles J. Hoadly, eds, THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF THE COLONY OF CONNECTICUT, 15 vols. [Hartford, 1850-90], 1:87-88 [FHL #974.6 N2c]). The family was in Farmington by Feb 1653 when Matthew purchased his homestead (Susan Woodruff Abbott, WOODRUFF GENEALOGY [Milford, CT, 1963], 1 [FHL #929.273 W86a]).

MAR: No mar rec found. She is called Hannah "Seamore" in the will of her father, Matthew Woodruff of Farmington, 6 Sep 1682, proved 14 Dec 1682, Hartford District Probate, abstracted in Charles W. Manwaring, ed, DIGESTOF THE EARLY CONNECTICUT PROBATE RECORDS, 3 vols. (Hartford, 1904-1906), 1:390 (FHL #974.6 P2m). She apparently married Richard Seamore. See the will of Hannah Seamore of Farmington, "late wife of Richard Seamore," 7 Nov 1712, proved 2 Feb 1712/3 (Manwaring, DIGEST, 3:291-92).
