- BIRTH: Edmund is identified as a son of Robert Plumbe in the 1634 Herald's Visitation of Essex (Walter C. Metcalfe, ed, THE VISITATIONS OF ESSEX, Publications of the Harleian Society, Visitation Series, vol. 13 [London, 1878], 470-71 [FHL #942 B4h]). He is also identified in the will of his father, Robert Plumbe of Great Yeldham, 9 Jan 1611/2, proved 22 Jun 1613, P.C.C., 64 Capell (FHL #092053). Edmund Plume of Hawkedon Hall, Suffolk is also called the son of Robert Plume of Great Yeldham, Essex in W. Harry Rylands, ed, THE VISITATION OF THE COUNTY OF SUFFOLK BEGUN ANNO DNI. 1664 AND FINISHED ANNO DNI. 1668, Publications of the Harleian Society, Visitation Series, vol. 61 (London, 1910), 180 (FHL #162071).
CHR: Great Yeldham par reg (FHL #857068).
MAR: Wife Elizabeth Heron of Tibenham, Norfolk is identified in the 1664-1668 Visitation of Suffolk, above. The par reg of Tibenham includes the mar of "Thomas" Plume and Elizabeth Herne, 27 Aug 1593 (FHL #1472781 item 6). No other Plume/Plumbe entries were found. It appears that "Thomas" is a clerical error for Edmund.
