- BIRTH: Lettice is identified in the will of her father, Richard Baldwin of Aston Clinton, 16 Jan 1552/3, proved 21 Feb 1552/3, Archdeaconry Court of Buckingham, reg wills, 9:156 (FHL #088495). She was under 19 years old when the will was written. She is also mentioned in the will of her mother Ellen Baldwin, of Aston Clinton, 24 [torn] 1566, no probate act, Archdeaconry of Buckingham, orig wills (FHL #1042499). Lettice was not married when the will was written. She was, however, called Lettice Foster of Tring, Herts in the will of her brother, Robert Baldwin of Northchurch, Herts, 22 Mar 1605/6, proved 1 Apr 1606, P.C.C., 24 Safforde (FHL #092025).
