MAR: No mar rec found. An entry in New Haven Co. Court recs (1:210), 14 Jun 1693, mentions the widow and children of Joseph Mansfield, deceased, including a dau Mary Tirhan. Thomas Tirhan died in 1696 leaving a widow Mary. Henry Wise had died in 1684. Adm was granted to widow Mary, 11 Jun 1684 (Ibid, 1:147). Further rec of his estate in Jun 1686 shows that his widow was now the wife of Thomas Tirham (Ibid, 1:160). Hence, Mary Mansfield was first the wife of Henry Wise, 2nd the wife of Thomas Tirhan. These documents are cited in Donald Lines Jacobus, "Notes on New Haven Families," NEHGR, 66(1912):308 (FHL #974 B2ne).
