- BIRTH: No birth rec found. Abraham is identified in the will of his father, Robert Adams of Newbury, 7 Mar 1680/1, proved 28 Nov 1682, published verbatim in NEHGR, 9(1855):126 (FHL #974 B2ne). Abraham deposed in 1651 that he was about 10 years old (RECORDS AND FILES OF THE QUARTERLY COURTS OF ESSEX COUNTY, 9 vols. [Salem, MA, 1911-75], 1:212 [FHL #873951]). His gravestone inscription, below, makes him 75 yrs old in 1714. His birth in Salem is suggested by his father's residence in Salem in 1638 and 1646 (TOWN RECORDS OF SALEM, 3 vols. [Salem, MA, 1868-1934], 1:95, 143 [FHL #974.45/S1 N2e]).
