MAR: No mar rec found. The estate recs of Christopher Crow of Windsor suggest that Mary (Burr) Crow, Christopher's widow, married Josiah Clark. Initial adm was granted to Mary's brother Samuel Burr, 20 Apr 1681. On 6 Mar 1684, Josiah Clark was appointed to administer Christopher Crow's estate. At that time he was already in possession of 73 pounds of the Crow estate, which he apparently acquired by marriage to Crow's widow. Moreover, Josiah's younger brother, John Clark, married Christopher Crow's dau Mary about 1685. See estate recs of Christopher Crow of Windsor, Hartford District Probate, abstacted in Charles W. DEATH: No death rec found. Josiah is mentioned in the will of his father, Daniel Clark of Windsor, 31 Aug 1709, proved 8 Sep 1710, Hartford District Probate, abstracted in Manwaring, DIGEST, 2:177-78.
