MAR: No mar rec found. Daniel Clark's wife is identified as Hannah, dau of Daniel Pratt, in numerous publications. The will of Daniel Pratt of Hartford, 19 Apr 1690, proved 30 Apr 1691, mentions a dau Hannah but does not include her surname. See abstract from Hartford District Probate in Charles W. Manwaring, ed, DIGEST OF THE EARLY CONNECTICUT PROBATE RECORDS, 3 vols. (Hartford, 1904-1906), 1:499-500 (FHL #974.6 P2m). The will of Hannah's sister Esther Pratt of Hartford, 6 Oct 1702, proved 11 Nov 1702, mentions a sister Hannah Clarke (Ibid, 2:104). It is concluded, therefore, that Hannah, dau of Daniel Pratt, married a Clark. Daniel can be shown to have had a wife Hannah. On 11 Sep 1668 Daniel Clark, Sr, of Windsor made a deed of gift to his son Daniel Clark of Hartford. Daniel Clark, Jr, deeded the property to his brother-in-law Job Drake on 1 June 1689 with the consent of his wife Hannah (Windsor Deeds, 2:252, 253 [FHL #006189]).
DEATH: No death rec found. Daniel is mentioned in father's will, 31 Aug 1709. According to Nathaniel Goodwin he went to Colchester, Connecticut about 1710, but no evidence has been found (Goodwin, GENEALOGICAL NOTES [Hartford, 1856], 25 [FHL #974 D2g]).
