- CHR: Par reg of Whitechurch-Canonicorum, as cited in J. Gardner Bartlett, NEWBERRY GENEALOGY (Boston, 1914), 45 (FHL #000018). John received land in Windsor, Connecticut on his father's right, 10 Oct 1646, with other children of Thomas Newberry (Windsor Deeds, 1:3 [FHL #006188]). He is also mentioned in the will of his grandfather, Christopher Dabinot of Upway, Dorset, 1 Jul 1637, proved 4 Aug 1637, P.C.C., 113 Goare (FHL #092138).
DEATH: No death rec found in original source records. For death date, see Bartlett, NEWBERRY GENEALOGY, 45. He was certainly dead by 6 Jan 1647/8, when an entry in the ledger of his brother-in-law, Henry Wolcott, mentions the division of John's estate.
