- BIRTH: Preston Vital Records, 4:225 (FHL #1311195). Although recorded in Preston at the same time with the other children of David Moore, Lydia was probably born in North Stonington. David Moore stated in his Revolutionary War pension declaration, 27 Mar 1834, that he removed from North Stonington to Preston in 1820 (David Moore pension files, National Archives, #W1458 [FHL #971761])
MAR: Norwich Vital Records, 7 1/2:19 (FHL #1311436). Although this mar occurred somewhat later than the typical mar age for women, there can be little doubt that it was Lydia W. Moore (b. 1818) who married Walter Holden in 1850. "Lydia W. Moore Holden, wife of Walter Holden, 1818-1900," is buried almost next to her mother in the Hamilton St. Cemetery in Norwich, above. Wife was "of Norwich" on mar rec.
