- BIRTH: North Kingstown Vital Records, 1:30 (FHL #930980). The birth of William no doubt occurred in Kingstown, which became extinct in 1722/3 with the creation of North and South Kingstown.
MAR #1: No mar rec found. William West and wife Abiah appear in North Kingstown Land Evidences, 1:43-44, 2:36-37 (FHL #930954). Four grandchildren, Deborah, William, John, Abiah West, are identified in the will of William Sprague of Providence, 7 Apr 1721, proved 11 Nov 1723, Providence Wills, 2:158-60 (FHL #915006). These four are identified as children of William West in Samuel West "Memmorandum Book," 23 Aug 1802, MAYFLOWER DESCENDANT, 26(1926):10 (FHL #974.4 D25md). Hence, William West married Abiah Sprague.

DEATH: No death rec found. William was living in West Greenwich, RI, 26 Jul 1742, when the town council voted to notify Benjamin Tanner to appear before the next council to show cause "why he entertains William West and his family in this town contrary to law" (West Greenwich Town Council Records, 1:[3] [FHL #925979]).
