- BIRTH: Samuel West, "Memmorandum Book," entry for 23 Aug 1802, published verbatim in MAYFLOWER DESCENDANT, 26(1924):10 (FHL #974.4 D25md). Samuel copied the family history of an uncle living in Petersburgh, NY on this date. Date and place of birth are approximations.
