- BIRTH: No birth/chr record found. According to a great-grandson, Judge Zebulon West (1707-1770), Francis came from Salisbury, Eng. He was supposed to have been 86 yrs old at death in 1692/3. See Edward E. Cornwall, "Francis West of Duxbury, Mass...," NEHGR, 60(1906):142 (FHL #974 B2ne).
MAR: Nathaniel B. Shurtleff and David Pulsifer, eds, RECORDS OF THE COLONY OF NEW PLYMOUTH, 12 vols. (Boston, 1855-61), 1:139 (FHL #974.4/N2n). He is called Francis "Weston." The mar is also mentioned in the writings of Zebulon West, above. Place of mar is not stated but it is suspected to be Duxbury. Francis was fined in Duxbury on 2 Nov 1640 (Shurtleff, RECORDS, 1:164), and he resided there until his death.
DEATH: Death date is included in inv of estate. See the inv of estate of Francis West of Duxbury, 14 Feb 1692/3, adm 4 Apr 1693, Plymouth Co. Probate, 1:162 (FHL #550708).
